Tomorrow in the Cupboard

Thanks to the extraordinary Emily Dickinson, for another original phrasing of a life lesson:
"With a to-morrow in its cupboard, who would be 'an hungered'?"

She should have written a volume of wisdom, but of course, the delight for us is that we can uncover these little truth treasures scattered about her letters and poems.

May i share a few emily-isms (with additional thoughts from your friendly blogger), in the hope that these ideas will dance through your heart today?

"momentous but not defining"--keep a balanced perspective

"morning without you is a dwindled dawn"--missing always sweetens the coming reunion

"winter, a tender shelter"--even loneliness sustains, if rightly considered

"Peter took the marine walk at the great risk"--faith energized by courage cannot fail

"hyacinths covered with promises"--be on the lookout for opportunities bursting with hope

"I cannot tell how Eternity seems. It sweeps around me like a sea...Thank you for remembering me. Remembrance--mighty word."

May your moments today by nurtured by hopeful signs and sweet remembrances and the companionship of those who shelter you in their hearts. And may your soul be full, not "an-hungered" by the promise of a tomorrow in your cupboard.

As Emily might say, "Confidingly, karen"
